New submission from moviemaniac <[email protected]>: Well, the title says it all: It would be great if ffmpeg would support passing through the core DolbyDigital audio embedded in TrueHD streams over S/PDIF. ffmpeg already supports this for DTS-HD streams.
Application of this feature: Watching BluRays streamed from the BD drive via MakeMKV without having to rip them to get to the dolby digital core-audio. This already works fine for disks with DTS-HD sound but it's a pita having to rip TrueHD BluRays before being able to watch them with my external amplifier. ---------- messages: 11721 priority: normal status: new substatus: new title: Support passthrough of TrueHD DD coreaudio via S/PDIF type: feature_request ________________________________________________ FFmpeg issue tracker <[email protected]> <https://roundup.ffmpeg.org/issue2175> ________________________________________________
