Which is not the case here, e.g. here
http://www.kmplayer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14938
there is not the slightest mention of the source, certainly it is not
the case that "users can see what's available and take what they want".
That they might be able to do this if they happen to read by chance
exactly the right file after installing (which btw. is impossible for
anyone not owning Windows since it's all a single binary) is irrelevant.
In addition, the links are not sufficient since they are not to the
_exact_ source code that was used to compile the binary but just
the projects in general.
Both mean that source distribution does not happen together with the
binaries.
There is the option of instead including an offer to the source code,
however since in this case it is not obvious to the user at the moment
of downloading that source is available, that offer must be valid for
a long time (3 years) and a link is not enough (among other things because
that link might not be valid in a few years, and yes there is legal
precedent for that).

This is what your mistake is. "a means" is not enough.
I can't see how in this case an ordinary user has a chance to become
aware that they could get the source for some parts of it.

And I haven't yet even mentioned pearls like this:
libmpalyer : http://www.mplayerhq.hu/
Even disregarding the spelling mistake, you will not find even a
mention of a libmplayer on mplayerhq.hu.

libavcodec : http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net/
You won't find any source there.

Even those that are correct do not link to any source directly,
anyone wanting the source would have to spend hours.
Could you tell me how you came to the conclusion that this matches
with this part you quoted yourself:
> Users should be provided with clear and convenient instructions for how
> to get the source for the exact object code they downloaded
Or are you just trolling and don't even read your own text?

This btw. is just the _requirements_ of the license, in case you are not
aware it is also possible to even be _nice_ to the people who wrote the code
you are using and make it convenient for them to e.g. update the parts
based on their software by providing instructions etc.
Not trolling their bug tracker is a possibility as well, for the really
nice people.
