David Tombs <[email protected]> added the comment: I just tried compiling with your patch and it makes the problem worse: AVERROR_INVALIDDATA is a positive integer, which means ffmpeg actually /ignores/ the error now and continues trying to process. Even if ffmpeg didn't ignore it, the user would get no more specific logging than he/she does now.
