As to the issue of trimming in QuickTime, causing the audio to get out of sync, I think it has to do with libfaac. I wasn't able to create a properly synced .mp4 file on my own machine, but I was successful in getting a properly synced version on YouTube by converting the audio to PCM first, while leaving the video alone (since it was already compressed for the web): ffmpeg -i "input.mov" -vcodec copy -acodec pcm_s16le -ac 2 "output.mov" This complaint on the YouTube forum may be related: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/youtube/thread?tid=38591c868ab4a3a1&hl=en ______________________________________________ Libav issue tracker <[email protected]> <https://roundup.libav.org/issue1086> ______________________________________________
