<< 1 would be faster. ;) It may be clearer to readers if it is where the other sample rate code is, but it may be safer to add it here so it doesn't have to be duplicated/forgotten for all bit stream formats in which SBR is allowed. I think if you add it in this code with a note as to why, that should be fine. Otherwise, looks OK.
