New findings:
With "+full_chroma_int" I was able to fix the discoloration, but I was
still getting some mild luma banding until I finally figured out to use
"-sws_flags full_chroma_int+accurate_rnd", at which point output was
finally for all intents and purposes visually indiscernible from input. +1
lobby for this being default behavior.
