As I said I am not a developer. The suggestions I have made are just
guesses based on my "very" limited experience with general coding.
I googled "git format-patch" and ended up here -

I'm sure everything on that page makes sense to you guys but after melting
my brain getting mingw working, I'm having trouble making sure my beam can
actually reaches my mouth.
I will check it out tomorrow when I'm sober but no guarantees.
