The benefits would be:
- Developers can implement assembly for said insn set (eg aarch64, avx,
avx2)
- Developers can evaluate the impact of a change on said insn set (eg a
buffer change breaking avx but not ssex)
- fate can be set up to verify if something breaks on a device with said
insn set (eg SSE2 insn used in SSE1 code on SSE1 machine)
