Patches on this bug tracker are usually ignored, please send your patch to
the ffmpeg-devel mailing list where it can be discussed.
At least a minor version bump in libavformat/version.h and an entry to
doc/APIchanges is missing, consider not to re-indent unchanged lines to
make reviewing your changes easier.
