I think you did not get the point. FFmpeg is not in any way responsible
for broken software that uses ffmpeg in a wrong way, by e.g. non public
API usage.
As responsible downstream maintainer, make upstream aware of these issues
and fix the root cause.
For kodi you can pick the linked PR, but keep in in mind that kodi
upstream only supports statically linked ffmpeg anyways.
