#11515: Consider NV12 / P010 output pixel format support --------------------------------------+----------------------------------- Reporter: Robert Mader | Owner: (none) Type: defect | Status: new Priority: normal | Component: avcodec Version: unspecified | Resolution: Keywords: nv12, p010 | Blocked By: Blocking: | Reproduced by developer: 0 Analyzed by developer: 0 | --------------------------------------+----------------------------------- Comment (by Robert Mader):
Semi-related to this topic: I submitted a patch to Linux for the 10 and 12 bit formats used by ffmpeg: https://lore.kernel.org/all/20250407191314.500601-1-robert.ma...@collabora.com/. Having DRM FOURCCs upstream will e.g. allow buffers to be directly imported by GPU drivers (if allocated as DMABuf), avoiding unnecessary copies. Comments / suggestions (especially regarding naming) very welcome :) -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/11515#comment:10> FFmpeg <https://ffmpeg.org> FFmpeg issue tracker
