 between dedicated streams which contain captions (e.g. 608 MP4 tracks,
 teletext, SMPTE 436-1, SMPTE 2038, SCC, MCC, RCWT, SRT etc) versus cases
 where it's embedded in the video stream (e.g. MPEG-2 A/53 userdata,
 H.264/HEVC SEI, etc).  We're actively discussing how to best tackle that
 problem.

 Yes, encoded captions data should be able to be passed and exist in its
 encoded state regardless of if the video is in the compressed or
 uncompressed domain and regardless of whether it is embedded in the video
 stream or a separate stream.  Please let me know if there is a way to
 accelerate this development process.
