I have been building and running libav*.a on iOS for a few years. I want a simple way of reporting, at runtime, whether h.264 frame decoding is being done by hardware or software. Would someone please steer me to code where that decision is made? I thought the iOS implementation would involve the VideoToolbox.framework, but my fgrep's are turning up empty and AFAIK, VDA is not implemented on iOS.
