If this is still the case (I don't know), please download the snapshot (!) from http://ffmpeg.org/download.html and run "./configure" in the source directory. The bottom of the output ("Enabled indevs:") will show you if alsa was detected. If alsa was detected, run "make ffmpeg". You should also try with "--enable-libpulse".
