and why?they often make hidden bugs visible like when -flto fails which is the case for ffmpeg - on the other hand PHP builds with link-time-optimization while you see otherwise hidden warnings indicating possible bufferoverflows in the code
But more important: Did you already test with vanilla gcc? After that, please report to either gcc or RedHat. Feel free to add a reference to your bug report here.
