They are technically completely different.
If you are using a filterchain, it should be much safer
to use setpts, itsoffset does not always work iirc.

so setpts works in general more safer? I have test this with some image
sequences and got some warning (Buffer queue overflow, dropping.)
Then I need to make more tests.
