x264 does not support paff encoding, do you think the encoding
quality is bad?
=> can you please tell me what you mean with 'paff' ? It is common and actually
the standard that one does encode progressive frames with x264, so if 'libx264'
obviously cannot do it in my case, which ffmpeg codec should be used then?
It's not about quality here but getting exactly the same specs at the output
file except it's size.
I don't understand this sentence.
=> The original (input) files had 50 frames per second, means a constant frame
rate.
The resulting (output file) deals with a variable frame rate (like those videos
from mobile phones or frame grabber) which is unusable in my editing program.
So the remaining question is: Why is libx264 touching both my progressive
frames and the constant frame rate?
