Didn't try to analyze it, but that might explain why i can produce lower bitrate through re-encoding. Pretty sure the folks in TV editing are happy if they just got their SW tools to run at all with all those nerd knobs they don't understand ;-) > Whoever scaled down the high up out door shots, should really learn how > to do it properly to avoid artifacts. Could be moiree directly from camera. I like the scene from 11:20 to 11:30 with a moving LCD panel. It's great to check out quality of re-encoding with deinterlacing (using the interlaced pal version from the live broadcast). Alas, the obvious became clear: if i downscale the HD version, the result is better than just using the interlaced pre-downscaled version. > ffmpeg-user mailing list > [email protected] > http://ffmpeg.org/mailman/listinfo/ffmpeg-user > > To unsubscribe, visit link above, or email > [email protected] with subject "unsubscribe". -- --- [email protected] _______________________________________________ ffmpeg-user mailing list [email protected] http://ffmpeg.org/mailman/listinfo/ffmpeg-user To unsubscribe, visit link above, or email [email protected] with subject "unsubscribe".
