I did, however, noticed that it finds them when I do transcoding without
subtitles:

and thanks for the tip! It does sound liek it, but I tried with very high
values and it still does not find those on/off subtitle tracks. Here is the

applies to your case:

In short, you need to provide sufficiently large values of
"-analyzeduration" and "-probesize".
