I'm trying to install ffmpeg from source using this guide
https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/CompilationGuide/Centos. Getting error in configure
ERROR: freetype2 not found
manually in command line:
$pkg-config --exists freetype2 || echo 'no lib'
gives me nothing, so it exists. And also:
$pkg-config --cflags freetype2 -I/usr/include/freetype2 $rpm -q freetype
freetype-2.4.2-7.fc14.x86_64 freetype-2.4.2-7.fc14.i686
It seems like the configure script doesn't pass this pkg-config --exists
command.
Could it be wrong freetype version? How do I check the reason of such error?
I've also tried ffmpeg version 3.1.11, where there is a special case for
libfreetype check in ffmpeg configure. I'm on some previous Fedora version.
The configure command I use:
./configure --prefix="$HOME/ffmpeg_build" --pkg-config="--static"
--extra-cflags="-I$HOME/ffmpeg_build/include"
--extra-ldflags="-L$HOME/ffmpeg_build/lib" --extra-libs=-lpthread
--extra-libs=-lm --bindir="$HOME/bin" --enable-libfreetype --enable-libmp3lame
--enable-libopus --enable-libvorbis --enable-libx264 --enable-nonfree
--enable-gpl'
