Hmm, filelist.txt IS an INTERMEDIATE file! I wrote all the filenames (line by line) to concatenate into this file and it works. However I want to omit it and use a cmdline only. I cannot believe that there is no way (WITHOUT piping) to concat multiple files on cmdline.
