Oh, right. I just assumed subtitles meant text-based for some reason… Bitmap 
subtitles won’t work. Closed captions and teletype doesn’t work either. (Afaik)

What does it say the subtitle codec is? You should post the output of your 
command.

If it is text based, ffplay -vf subtitles=input.mkv input.mkv should work. I 
don’t think the -sst option ever worked in ffplay.
