is there any chance that the new xfade filter and the acrossfade filter could be harmonized, so that they accept the same parameters? The acrossfade filter does always fade near the end of the first input stream. Only the duration must be specified. The xfade filter expects a duration and an offset. If you want to fade near the end of the first stream, you have to know its length. I prefer the behaviour of acrossfilter because it's unnecessary to know the length. If you want the video fade earlier in the stream, the trim filter could be used before xfade.
