The file plays fine with VLC. I tried to send the entire output from when I ran ffmpeg -i /Volumes/Preservationworking/Work/Preservation\ \(FFV1\,\ mkv\)\ \(96kHz\,\ 24-bit\)/UA-F003035_pres.mov -f null –
but the message was too large to send over the listserve. The final output was this: frame=38528 fps=1.9 q=-0.0 size=N/A time=00:26:45.33 bitrate=N/A speed=0.0779x frame=38528 fps=1.9 q=-0.0 size=N/A time=00:26:45.33 bitrate=N/A speed=0.0779x frame=38528 fps=1.9 q=-0.0 size=N/A time=00:26:45.33 bitrate=N/A speed=0.0779x [out#0/null @ 0x600002008000] video:16562KiB audio:301133KiB subtitle:0KiB other streams:0KiB global headers:0KiB muxing overhead: unknown frame=38545 fps=1.9 q=-0.0 Lsize=N/A time=00:26:46.04 bitrate=N/A speed=0.0779x -L -- From: ffmpeg-user <ffmpeg-user-boun...@ffmpeg.org> on behalf of Kieran O Leary <kieran.o.le...@gmail.com> Date: Friday, April 4, 2025 at 1:35 PM To: FFmpeg user questions <ffmpeg-user@ffmpeg.org> Subject: Re: [FFmpeg-user] V210 to MKV transcoding issue What is the output of ffmpeg -i /Volumes/Preservationworking/Work/Preservation\ \(FFV1\,\ mkv\)\ \(96kHz\,\ 24-bit\)/UA-F003035_pres.mov -f null - This will just decode the input file. Curious if it fails the same way. Does the input file play correctly in VLC?
