Hi

I have been asked to investigate the possibility of using FFMPEG to grab still images in JPG format from a live RTMP stream. The stream is being received by Flash Media Server (vn 3) and I want to grab 'n' JPG's per second from the stream, where 'n' is anything from 2 to 10, and write them to disk.

Can anyone tell me if this is now possible with FFMPEG? I have read the archives, done the usual web searches, etc and have only found hints that this kind if support was forthcoming.
Nothing from anyone who had actually achieved it.

I have quite a bit of leeway on how to achieve this i.e. I can run Windows or Linux, upgrade the FMS server, etc.

Any comments about the possibility of even doing this are very welcome before I dive into experimenting with it, or looking for alternate solutions.

Thanks

David
