Hi all, I am very interested in ffserver to set-up an mp4/h264 Live stream (from video capture card). However I have two questions :
What about the bitrate of the ffm stream between the encoder and the server. If I feed a pre-encoded file/stream to the source ffmpeg, will the ffm stream to ffserver be of the same content with just a different container ? Is there any authentication implemented in ffserver, both for the client and the encoder ? If not do you think that implementing something like icecast does, eg to delegate the authentication to a php webpage is feasible ? (Icecast can be configured that on each request it first ask an external link if it is ok and the answer is return in the header). I have very basic C programming skills so if it is feasible I may try to go in that direction. Many thanks for this nice software timothe
