I went thro the code and found that at a function in libavformat/aviobuf.c
int url_close_dyn_buf(ByteIOContext *s, uint8_t **pbuffer) ,   the return
value of the function is zero in case of a webm video where as some finite
value in case of mpeg video.
So its a problem related to ffmpeg as a whole.
I tried this 2/3 months ago.
since  you are still getting error it means it is not corrected.
If some one knows how to file a bug report it will be worth.
