The mining and petroleum industries have potential to contaminate groundwater and soil through their activities such as waste processing, produced water discharging, and dewatering. This course is aimed at understanding of hydrogeological principles that can be used to prevent the environment and will cover the essential of hydrogeological principles such as Darcy's law, exploration hydrogeological methods, groundwater flow direction, groundwater chemistry and contamination, groundwater monitoring programs, and introduction to groundwater modeling. The Government of Indonesia's (GoI) regulation related to groundwater protection will also be discussed in this course, together with some case studies in mining and petroleum industries related to groundwater contamination. The participants will actively be involved by doing some exercises. > >You Will Learn : >Day 1: >Basics of hydrogeological principles >Exploration hydrogeological methods >Regulation of Government of Indonesia >related to groundwater protection >Day 2: >Basics of groundwater protection program >Introduction to groundwater modeling >Application of groundwater protection >and monitoring programs > >Who Should Attend : >Geologist, Geophysicist, Mining Engineer, HSE Manager, Exploration Manager and Production Manager and other personnel who work in mining, oil and gas industry > >Investment Fee: >Before Course : IDR. 13.250.000 / participant, After Course : IDR. 13.750.000 / participant (Excluded accommodation and tax) >The workshop fee includes meals (2x coffee break and lunch), training kits, training materials, group photograph, and certificate. Satyana (SK MIGAS) >Duration : 2 Days Workshop >Workshop Level : Basic – Intermediate > >About The Workshop : >Geologically, Indonesia occupies one of the most complicated areas on Earth. The archipelago is made up of three major crustal plates and numerous micro-plates of both continental and oceanic origins. This tectonic setting provides Indonesia with more than 60 sedimentary basins and inter-basin areas in which petroleum accumulations are either proven or possible. Indonesia may also be the most diverse country in the world with at least 50 proven and probably more than 100 speculative petroleum systems. Controlled largely by the different geological regimes of Western and Eastern Indonesia, the pattern of petroleum accumulations differs across the archipelago. Understanding the geological evolution and how the various sedimentary basins developed, are the keys to understanding the petroleum systems of the sedimentary basins. However, petroleum exploration and production in Indonesia has not been carried out in similar portion. Eastern Indonesia (in this case from the Straits of Makassar and Lombok eastwards) has been underexplored for many years compared to that of Western Indonesia. Roughly, exploration in Eastern Indonesia composes only 30 % from total. This, optimistically, means that opportunities to discover large to giant fields in Eastern Indonesia are highly possible. Several giant gas fields have been discovered in Eastern Indonesia, like Abadi Field in Timor Sea and fields of Tangguh complex in Bintuni Bay. Prolific discoveries in NW Shelf of Australia and Papua New Guinea, where the geology continues into the Indonesia's areas give promising future prospectivity for Indonesia. Tectonics and stratigraphy of Eastern Indonesia is complicated, recording history from Pre- Cambrian/Lower Paleozoic to the Neogene times. These, positively, have given development of various play types and multiple sources and reservoirs. However, to benefit this complexity, good understanding of geology and petroleum geology of Eastern Indonesia is a basic requirement. Within this two-day course, current knowledge on geology and petroleum geology of Eastern Indonesia will be introduced, summarized and discussed. The course materials are based on recent concepts and progress. The course will provide participants with tour of petroleum geology of Eastern Indonesia including land and seas of the Makassar Straits, Sulawesi, Lesser Sunda Islands, Banda Arc, Halmahera, Papua, and the Arafura Sea. After the course, the participants will know regional tectonics, stratigraphy, petroleum system, petroleum geology, and exploration-production status of sedimentary basins in Eastern Indonesia. The course will benefit both junior and senior petroleum professionals. >You Will Learn : >Day 1:·Introduction >·Regional Tectonics·Regional Stratigraphy·Sedimentary Basins·Makassar Strait·Sulawesi·Lesser Sunda >Day 2 :·Banda Arc·Halmahera·Papua·Arafura Sea·Regional Petroleum Plays >·Current Status of Petroleum Exploration and Production·Future Challenges and Opportunity >Who Should Attend : >Geologist,Geophysicist,Explorationist,Managers, other personnel who want to >learn about petroleum geology of eastern Indonesia focusing proven, Investment Fee: >Before Course : IDR 15,500,000 / participant , After Course : IDR 16,000,000 / participant (Excluded accommodation and tax) >The workshop fee includes meals (2x coffee break and lunch), training kits, training materials, group photograph, and certificate.
