Hi all my name is Kostas, I fell on to FHS while I was reading documentation in order to learn RPM Packaging. I found it really interesting and to be honest untill that moment I did not knew that something like that even existed. I found it so interesting that I want to make a presentation of it in an event we are organizing here in Greece called openSUSE Collaboration Summer Camp ( http://www.os-el.gr/summercamp/en/ ) and why not in openSUSE Conference(http://conference.opensuse.org/) in Prague this year. Untill this morning I only knew the existence of version 2.3 (I actually started making my presentation based to that version). Now amongst the FHS I would like to show the differences between 2.3 and 3.0. I have a few questions where I could use some help.
- I found and read this article (https://www.linux.com/learn/tutorials/476610-a-look-at-the-filesystem-hierarchy-standard-30) where I read the differences and what is new to 3.0, is there anything else relevant I could read? -Is version 3.0 still a draft and should I mention this as a draft and not an actual version? -I am also reading Bug 758 and all the other bugs related, do you think that there is something else I could read? -Last but not least, can I return for more questions related to FHS? I must warn you here that I am a volunteer to FOSS and I am actually a firefighter, meaning that my technical backround is limited so many of the questions I might have you might find them 'foolish' .
