Hi FiberNetters,

I would like to second Holly's comments on commercial processing.
Of utmost importance is the quality of the fleece you send to a processor.
Machines exhert much more force on the fibers than any hand processing or
home drum carding ever could.

I've had many "good" fleeces come apart on the machines after they've been
washed in Ph netural detergent and hand teased. They appear nice and strong
to lock testing, but nep and noil on the machines. The machines are the
final truth when it comes to a good or weak fleece.
