Hello,
Even though it's still pretty cold since winter decided to
come back to Central, NC I have already started to think of assorted
summer fibers. I only touch wool between May and October to wash
dirty fleeces. It's way too hot here. My plans include some flax
spinning. A gorgeous pound of blonde flax strick from Belgium, and
two pounds of cotton. The flax won't be much of a problem, specially
now that I have finally gotten around to build as cage distaff and
will be building a blocker before the end of April, but I and unsure
about the cotton. I have done a bit of cotton spinning both on the
wheel and on a Tahkli, but am still not sure of how much twist to put
in to be able to ply the resulting yarn. The cotton is for a bulky
type sweater for mid season.
Suggestions?
