I know next to nothing about weaving and I can't afford a loom or
anything fancy--but I have an unaccountable yearning for a shawl
made in a specific way!
Many years ago, I saw a picture of a shawl that was made of two
rectangles woven at right angles to each other. The warps for each
rectangle formed the weft for the other rectangle in the overlapping
part. The front part of the shawl (as worn by a human being) formed
a "W" shape.
Can anyone visualize this? And does anyone know how this is achieved?
