I recently saw some hand braided leashes that were made of a very thick cotton cord, maybe 4-8 wpi. Someone told me that they were made of cotton cord intended for macrame. Lots of different colours, including variegated.
I've done some Web searching and can't seem to find anything but polypropolene macrame cord. Then it occurred to me that maybe very thick cotton rug weft might be similar. Does anyone have any online sources for thick cotton yarn intended for rug weaving (US or Canadian, please)?
