Here in Michigan is gets bitter cold. I have leather work gloves and I have felted, very warm! barn mitts. When I do chores, for me, the mitts work perfect. Hay/straw doesn't get stuck in them, and for watering, I just flip up the pump handle, no screwing needed. I"ve even got felted slippers that fit right into my barn boots.
