Isn't that how a gas heater works? Only this uses propane? 
And I don't know of any houses that are so air tight, that a gas furnace
would use up the oxygen, causing someone to die from lack of oxygen.

Although, there was a story about a man, a meal of beans and a bean
burrito, a hotel room, and that man's death....
