So I put my very first chenille warp on my loom last week. I've only ever woven with wool before, usually my own handspun. It's the webs rayon chenille, which runs something like 1400 ypp. It's a twill, no floats, and I set it at, er, 10 epi, which seemed reasonable at the time. Now that I'm staring at it, though, I'm wondering if this is close enough, and of course now that I'm poking around on the web, I'm finding that everyone seems to be recommending everything from 12 to 15 epi for this yarn, and usually recommending plain weave only. So what is going to happen to my (stunningly gorgeous, might I add) piece once I cut it off? Is it going to disintegrate? Worm? Shrink horribly? Implode? Should I resley at 12 epi? Anything finer and it wouldn't be useful for its end purpose (bread covers). It is, of course, a 4-yard warp that took me ages and much teeth-gnashing to get on, so if there's a way I can keep going as it's set up, that would be ideal...
Abby, waiting for it to be 5 so she can get back to her loom... To stop mail temporarily mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: set nomail To restore send: set mail
