On the other side of the world and it doesn't seem to want to stop raining
very much and when it does it's all nasty and windy. Occasional break
through of wintery sunshine.
so it's good for staying inside and either reading about fibrecrafts or
spinning......I've set myself a challenge to spin up 2 wonderful fleeces I
have residing in the wardrobe that I store stash in. Not to get it all done
over Winter but to make some serious inroads into it.
Problem is I keep acquiring or finding other oddments that really need my
attention <vbg> like a weekend ago I went on a microwave dyeing workshop &
the tutor handed out long lengths of merino sliver for us to play
with......mine is brilliant green/yellow/blue combination & of course I had
to try that into yarn! And the bun that I was given at Christmas time well
that got spun up as well......actually had to have something to do at club
one day that wasn't the challenge & I got a whole bobbin spun up
soooooooooooo of course had to do the rest, didn't I :-)

Our Guild is having to move headquarters due to a proposed motorway
extension. Tranzit NZ are making us move 6mths before the due date of
upsticks so we are going to somewhere temporary - the only fly in the
ointment as far as I can see, I'm biased as I'm the manager of Stash
Enhancement Transfer Station is that our SETS space is shrinking
dramatically. So I'm thinking storage, display, what to store, what to take
and stuff. All my waking hours seem to be taken up with that matter :-) I'm
going to look at the new space on Tuesday morning so I can start thinking
more positively about the move & of course think about how to get our
skates on!
