Yes, I owned one for about 6 months and then sent it back. I bought it to wind warps for production work that I do. The idea behind them was quite interesting to me and I felt I could get better tension than on a regular mill - the Leclerc that I have. Anyway I wind a silk noil that usually holds up very well. Not on the AVL though. It is extremely heavy and would break threads without me even feeling it. On a 30 yard warp this was not acceptable. I finally called them and was told by the rep I talked to that they didn't sell many of them. That didn't help me at all. I can't remember if there were other problems or not. It would be great if you could try one first. I returned mine.

I'm considering getting the AVL warping wheel for Christmas....... from my
husband, of course. Has anyone had experience with it?
