I second Ron's suggestions Rydals Museum, and Textilmuseet in Bores! In central
Gvteborg there's Rvhsska, a design and crafts musuem (there will be a large Kaffe
Fassett exhibition opening there on September 19, http://www.designmuseum.se/ ). A
little north of Gvteborg, in Dlvdngen ([A+umlaut]-l-v-[a+umlaut]-n-g-e-n) there's a
working museum where they make ropes the traditional way, and situated next to it is a
society working with flax. I'm not sure whether the flax people and their workshop are
opened to the public (it's not a museum) but I think so. At least if you ask them
nicely :-)!

Like Ron said, the whole area south-west of Gvteborg (Bores, Kinna etc) used to be the
heart of Sweden's textile industry and still is, in a way. I'm going to a school south
of Gvteborg learning hand weaving, and I'll ask my teachers if they have more specific
suggestions on Monday (I know they do :-)!).

If you're interested in historical things there's a lovely little museum in the
medieval town of Lvdvse, just up the road from Dlvdngen
(http://www.alvlanmus.se/lodose/hemsidor/index.htm - there doesn't seem to be an
English version of their homepage, though...)
