It's been really interesting reading everyone's opinion of the WooleeWinder. I've been drooling over them for years. The only thing stopping me (besides the cost, ouch) is the fact that I already have, and need, over a dozen bobbins for my Lendrum wheel. I always have several spinning projects going at once, and some of them stay on the bobbins for awhile before I can get them done. The Woolee Winder needs its own bobbins. Too bad they can't make it to fit the wheel's existing bobbins. Anybody out there have one for their Lendrum?

On another subject, I am in the middle of planning my first chenille project, after finding some 2000ypp rayon chenille at a good price. I've always worked with natural fibers in the past. I'd like to dye some of it, but my dye collection mostly consists of Cushings and Jaquard acid dyes, which I don't think will work, though the Cushings label says that it will dye viscose rayon. I also have some OLD packs (15 yrs old?) of Deka "L" series dye that requires a "fixer" but they don't specify what the "fixer" is. Anybody know? Is it washing soda, maybe? Nowhere on the package does it way that it is a fiber reactive dye, but I'm thinking maybe so?

And about chenille...I have read references to chenille "worming"...what is that? Any other tips on weaving with rayon chenille would be appreciated. I want to make a supple shawl with chenille warp and weft with a multicolored handspun silk accent thread.
