When you're knitting or weaving chenille, the little fuzzy bits want to work their way loose. As the fabric flexes, they act like little legs on a caterpillar (worm) and bunch up or otherwise move around.
To fight this, weave or knit it as tight as you can and still maintain the finish you want.
