Jane's accidental public post is an opportunity for me to remind folks that listings in the FAQ remain there until they're over. No need to resend (unless I have a computer crash!), and I take them out after the event is done.
If you have an event that will run early in a particular month, it's a good idea to get it to me in time for the month prior. So, if something will happen Nov 5th, if I have it in time for the October FAQ (September 30th being the deadline), then your ad is more likely to reach folks in time to make plans to attend. Would list members like me to send a reminder that the FAQ is coming to the list a week or so prior to the deadline each month? I know when Mary was doing it, I never remembered the FAQ until it arrived--too late to add something.
