Greetings all ,Been a while since I've posted to this list but I do follow the postings, Since you have an ashford wheel you might try the quill spindle made to fit all the models. It sells for about $50 and is great for bulky spinning and can be used to wind bobbins for weaving Too. I love mine. I find it much faster to use then the walking wheel I had years ago and less tireing .But it alows you to make any size yarn with ease. hallie in South east FL.
