Hi Lynn, The Normandy is amazingly easy to treadle. I too use a Lendrum dt and still enjoy using it, but it is very different spinning. I must tell you that I have two other wheels besides the Normandy and both are dt but I don't miss the dit because of the ease of treadling and the size of the treadle allows you to use two feet if you want on the one treadle.
Susan Right now, I spin on a Lendrum dt, which I like alot. I have spun on a couple of handbuilt wheels that are no better...I don't want to spend all that money for something that isn't lots nicer than my Lendrum!
