Hi Jenny, This is the method we use for sticking the belts back together.
Get a putty knife and stick it in a vise, metal portion out. Use a butane torch. Heat the putty knife until it is VERY hot. Take the ends of the belt and put one on each side of the hot putty knife. Slide them off together until they meet, hold together tightly and let the belt cool. Be very careful not to burn yourself.
