I probably shouldn't even comment on this since I have never had wool processed by anyone. However, that being said, I have visited Zeilinger's in Michigan and it IS a family business and still not that huge of a place. I have toured the 3 buildings they have and gone upstairs and watched the ladies do the quilting.
They have always been so very cordial and friendly whenever I have had the opportunity to visit there (my daughter lives about 5 miles from them as opposed to my 6 hours away from them). They usually have something of interest for a spinner to pick up - rovings, etc. It's a nice place to visit and they are very proud of their facilities there. I wish I could visit other processors, too but I know of no one close enough to make a field trip so to speak.
