Yolo did an AMAZINGLY beautiful job on my 9-year old lincoln weather. He's that blue-gray color (not silver gray). Because he's so old, his fleece is cotted and is such a mess to deal with. Jane (owner of Yolo) saw his fleece, loved the color and wanted to give it a try. The fleece really seems to matt together, but, I told her, it does loosen up when its washed. Well... WOW!! She processed it to yarn on her machines and its BEAUTIFUL!!
I ended up giving her his fleece for the previous 3 years, some washed, some not. She did a way better job and I ever could have with hand processing.

Oh... and wait time is about 4 weeks right now from raw fleece to yarn. (Just got some back not too long ago. MerinoXSuffolk white and natural. Looks great!)

Taos Valley Woolen Mill in New Mexico specializes in processing long staple
fiber. I have also used Yolo in CA and Fantasy Fibers in Canby OR with
great success. We raise Romneys & Lincolns so we need to work with
processors that can handle those longer fibers.
