I suspect the Norwegian wool referred to means indigenous. However there are a number of Scandinavian sheep breeds, among them the Spelsau and Gotland, which might be included in the yarn. I don't have any personal experience with Spelsau, but I can tell you that Gotland is very attractive - great luster and quite soft.
