Holly asked about one of my favorite kinds of knitting - mitered squares. Here is a bit of the large amount of information I have on the subject:

Magazines:
Knitter's #58 (spring 2000) has a section on mitered squares
INKnitters just finished a great 3-part series on making an Amish afghan in mitered squares by Jaya Srikrishnan - one of our many mitered-square gurus - which is excellent in its scope. The series starts with spring 2004 and ends with the fall 2004 issue.

Books:
Ginger Luters' new Module Magic is a distillation of her great workshops on modular knitting (I've taken three so far, and learned something new each time)
Dazzling Knits by Patricia Werner is also new and also a good resource.

Patterns:
Carol Anderson's Cottage Creations has a very good modular afghan called "Rambling Rows", which is my personal addiction; I've made 2 full-size ones (working on the 3rd - for ME!), a car-robe for the back seat of our station wagon, and several cat-sized ones. Carol doesn't have a website, but her patterns are for sale in many LYS'

Online:
There is a group on Yahoo! groups, called Modknitters, to which I've belonged since it began. Many good resources there, too.
Check it out at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/modknit/

Hope this gives you some more info, Holly. And welcome to the wonderful world of (addictive) modular knitting! ;-)
