I think the little counter on all the thingies sold by the loom mfgrs is made by Veeder. (Veeder Root? If they are still in business - the last catalog I saw was Danaher controls) It would seem that one could just pick the device that fits into your sectional tension box without lots of consideration of relative quality. LeClerc for leclerc, etc. I have free standing thing I got used that looks like the Schacht. It works ok as long as I avoid quick starts and stops with the winder, when the wheel throws loops and excitement can occur. Nancy
